In Print: E-reader owners are large users of print media.
Owners of e-readers are large users of print, according to a new survey. The survey finds that of the respondents who own an e-reader, many have increased their print consumption when compared to non-e-reader owners. For example, 59% of e-reader owners have increased their newspaper consumption in the past year vs a 7% increase in readers who do not have one. Source: MediaWeek 1/20/10
On Line: Time spent on social networkwing sites increases worldwide.
Internet users across the globe are spending 82% more time on social networking sites over a year ago, according to new data from Nielsen. Australia leads the way with users spending 6:52 hours per month on social networks. Though the U.S. is less with 6:09 monthly, they had the largest audience on social sites and blogs with 142 million users. Source: MediaPost 1/22/10
