In Print:  Many bargain hunters go to magazines & newspapers for deals.
During this time of recession, and according to a recent Adweek/Harris poll, it is interesting to know that many bargain hunters go straight to magazine and newspaper ads to find a deal. The study finds that 23% of adult Americans believe that these print ads are where they can find the best bargains, this is more than any other medium. A great way to reach these readers is through WMI's advertorial program, which is now available in Parade Magazine. Parade is distributed in newspapers to 33 million readers every Sunday. The 2010 Winter Olympics are in full swing and, in an out-of-home first, Visa's "Go World" campaign launched a new digital display in NYC's Grand Central Station. The display is projected in 3-D and the spots are shown daily from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Brand representatives are included in the experience to distribute 3-D glasses, but the display can appear dimensional to the naked eye. CBS Outdoor unveiled the display earlier this month, and is hoping that it is the beginning of a new step in outdoor advertising.   Source: MediaWeek 2/2/10
